What We’re Looking For —
Chemical & Fuel Streams That Qualify for Reuse.

Process Point evaluates a wide range of off-spec, surplus, and co-product materials for potential reuse through our Chemical & Fuel Re-Capture Program. Below is a reference guide to the most common categories of accepted materials. If your product isn't listed but may have residual value, we encourage you to reach out — evaluation is fast and confidential.

Accepted Chemical Materials:

  • ✔️ Acetic acid (glacial or diluted), formic acid, propionic acid
  • ✔️ Glycols: triethylene glycol, monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol
  • ✔️ Glycol ethers: EB, PM, PMA, DPM
  • ✔️ Solvents: methylene chloride, acetone, MEK, MIBK, toluene, xylene
  • ✔️ Esters: ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, butyl acetate
  • ✔️ Inorganic caustics: spent or off-spec sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide
  • ✔️ Surplus or expired raw materials in original containers or bulk storage

Accepted Fuels & Petroleum Streams:

  • ✔️ Diesel blend stocks, gasoline components, naphtha
  • ✔️ Off-spec oils and mixed fuels (transmix)
  • ✔️ Slop oils, carbon black oil, refinery fuel oil
  • ✔️ Vacuum gas oil, slurry oil, crude residuals
  • ✔️ Tank bottoms, ship bottoms, and de-bunkering material
  • ✔️ Distillation or production bottoms with reuse potential

Note: We avoid materials with high water content, heavy emulsification, extreme oxygenate levels, or unmanageable sulfur specs. All submissions are subject to sample review and documentation.

Minimum Volume Guidelines:

  • ✔️ Fuels & oils: minimum 1,000 BBLs per stream
  • ✔️ Chemicals: evaluated case-by-case; bulk truckload or rail preferred

If you have a material stream you'd like us to evaluate, submit your specs and basic information using the form below. Our team will assess recovery options and get back to you promptly.
